GRACE EVELYN

“After a fatal diagnosis at 20 weeks, String of Pearls taught us that all hope was not lost; it simply needed to be redefined.”

Hope and light during the very darkest days. When we learned that our first child would not survive, this is what String of Pearls was for us. We once hoped for things like a love of travel, a passion for sports, her dad’s nose, her mom’s hands. After a fatal diagnosis at 20 weeks, String of Pearls taught us that all hope was not lost; it simply needed to be redefined.

We still hoped for her dad’s nose and her mom’s hands (both of which she got!) but more importantly we hoped for time together, for memories, for photos and footprints and lots of kisses. Because of String of Pearls, we knew we would survive this, we got answers to unthinkable questions and we did not walk alone in the days before and after our beautiful daughter Grace Evelyn was born still on November 12, 2012.
